Northwest Bank Directors College
This program enhances both outside and inside directors' understanding of their responsibilities to their financial institutions. Co-sponsored by the Division of Finance and Corporate Securities, and the Oregon, Idaho and Washington Bankers Associations. The Northwest Bank Directors College takes place one day each month over the course of six months.

Northwest Bank Operations School
Co-sponsored by Washington, Idaho and Oregon Bankers Associations
This school takes place one day per month for eight months. The school provides insight into stronger management skills, an understanding of the inter-relatedness of key operation areas and how they contribute to a bank's profitability and increased awareness of the regulatory and competitive factors that affect banking today. The target audience for this school is operation supervisors with up to three years of experience.

Advanced Branch Managers School
Co-sponsored by Washington and Oregon Bankers Associations
The Advanced Branch Managers School is designed to provide participants a solid foundation in managing branches better and producing greater results. The target audience for this school are branch or department managers with a minimum of five years experience. The school is held two days per quarter for one year.

Northwest Commerical Lending Academy
The two-week Commercial Lending Academy builds a solid foundation of commercial lending practices that are essential to a successful career in business lending. Topics that are covered include: mastering management accounting concepts and tools; analyzing tax returns and deriving cash flowers; analyzing financial statement structure; mastering a proven business financial analysis process; linking financial projections to historical performance; and, evaluating financial performance in a credit context away from commercial lending. Those who would benefit from this academy include lenders with up to five years experience; lending officers, credit analysts, loan review officers, branch managers, bank calling officers, business development officers; and lenders who have been away from commercial lending for a while or whose training has not been consistent.

Northwest Commercial Lending School
This two-week school reinforces the skill sets of seasoned commercial lenders. Participants will examine among other things proper debt structure, stress testing procedures, and the nine critical cash determinants in business. Risk starts the day you book the loan and managing that risk has become increasingly more challenging. Heightened competition, economic changes, ever-changing regulations and risk are a few of the factors that make attending this school essential to lending officers who desire to improve their skills and advanced their careers. Topics covered include: advanced financial analysis techniques; analyzing sustainable growth and identifying growth?s risks; proper debt structuring techniques; how to stress test the availability of cash; productive credit memorandum preparation techniques; the bank business model; and problem loan?s early warning signs.

Northwest Banking School
This school is a one week bank simulation program. Today?s bank officers are better educated than ever, but many lack general banking experience. They have sales skills but many times lack an understanding of how banks operate, the details of products and services they must sell, and why banks are the right place for customers to meet their financial needs. Officers with a minimum of three years banking experience or a college degree with find the school both challenging and rewarding.

Pacific Coast Banking School
PCBS offers a two-year Graduate-level program of management and leadership education for senior level bankers. The program consists of three resident sessions held the last two weeks of August over two years and includes inter-session extension work. PCBS also offers a 3 day leadership program exclusively for PCBS graduates called Advanced Leadership Professional Symposium (ALPS).
