Regular members of the Oregon Bankers Association include banks and trust companies doing business in Oregon. All member banks are FDIC-insured and are chartered to take deposits in Oregon.
Bank membership signifies a financial institution's commitment to the principles of banking and the belief that more can be accomplished collectively than individually.
Affiliate membership in the OBA is reserved exclusively for financial institutions that are not eligible for regular membership. Typically, this includes banks that do not have full-service branches or deposit powers in the state of Oregon.
Affiliate Members often have a strong interest in the Association's legislative and regulatory advocacy. They are looked to as partners in OBA's efforts to grow and maintain a healthy environment for banking in Oregon.
Individuals and companies that do business with Oregon banks participate in the Association as associate members. Associate membership represents a significant commitment to the banking industry in Oregon and a dedication to:
(A) supporting Oregon's economy and banking environment;
(B) providing excellent customer experiences; and
(C) engaging in fair competition and ethical business practices.
