All employees of the Oregon Bankers Association (OBA) member banks are eligible for a discounted tuition rate in the MBA for Professionals program in the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University. The amount of the discount is equal to $15,000, which is amortized over six consecutive semesters at a rate of $2,500 per semester. Aside from referral credits, employees of the OBA member banks are not eligible for any other scholarships or discount programs administered by Willamette University, except as detailed below.
Employee-applicants may apply for admission for the September semester in Salem or the September or January semester in Portland. Willamette University MBA for Professionals reserves the right to limit the number of OBA member bank employees who may enroll in any given cohort to preserve the professional diversity in the classroom. All applicants must meet the standard admission requirements maintained by the MBA for Professionals program and must be enrolled full-time (two courses per semester). Applications are received and evaluated on a rolling basis.
Enrolled students who are employed or become employed at an OBA member bank will receive a prorated tuition discount based on the number of semesters remaining to complete their degree. OBA member bank employees are eligible to receive a $1,000 tuition credit from our Alumni Referral Program. To receive this credit, the applicant must be referred by an alumnus from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management during the application process. This credit is applied to the first semester tuition bill.
Currently enrolled OBA member bank employees can earn an additional $1,000 tuition credit for referring an applicant to the MBA for Professionals program. Referred applicants may be employed in any industry, must be accepted and must matriculate for the tuition credit to be disbursed.
This partnership may be reevaluated at any time by either Oregon Bankers Association or the Atkinson Graduate School of Management. In order to qualify for any tuition discounts, applicants must meet all guidelines established by the Atkinson Graduate School of Management/MBA for Professionals program, as well as Oregon Bankers Association.
